About the Course

The International Green Guide to Boating Course is designed for recreational boaters, yacht crew, small-vessel owners, and anyone operating on coastal or open waters who wants to reduce their environmental impact and follow international best practices. Learners will gain practical, easy-to-apply knowledge on how to operate their vessels sustainably, prevent pollution, and comply with global marine-environment standards. Using SeaKeepers' International Green Guide to Boating as the foundation, the course teaches fuel-efficient boating, responsible waste management, spill prevention, safe maintenance habits, and how to protect marine life and sensitive ecosystems.  Course completion will generate a SeaKeepers Certificate of Green Boating, which may make participants eligible for up to 10% off their marine insurance premium.

Meet Your Instructor, Aubri

Hi, I'm Aubri Keith, your guide in sustainable boating practices. I’ve spent my career working around the world as a dive instructor, chase boat captain, underwater photographer, and first officer aboard private yachts and live aboard dive expeditions. I hold a USCG 200 Ton Master License and a Master’s in Marine Science & Conservation, and my passion for the ocean has shaped everything I do.  Today, I serve as Program Development Manager at the International SeaKeepers Society and one of the captains of SeaKeepers’ vessel DISCOVERY, supporting scientific expeditions and educational outreach throughout South Florida.
